Geoffrey Kwist (ask dj blue star), born in the Netherlands started hitting the vinyl in 2005.

Initially playing mostly deep and progressive house. Times have changed and so has the music scene.

Blue star will take you on a journey through time and space. Usually starting with the coolest and smokiest 70’s Motown Grooves straight from the streets of New York and even the back alleys of Jamaica. Progressing the night with cool funky tunes, retro hits and a sip of arse shakin’ disco baby!!. If the night’s right the bag of 80’s vinyl will open up. Just when you think you’ve heard it all, awesome electro beats will keep your feet movin’

Really…. Anything can happen on a Saturday night at the Fox!

Sunday 25th July Luck Hunter and Broadside Push 5pm to 7pm Free

“Lucky Hunter are your new best friend’s mother’s favourite band.

It’s rock, its roll, its dirty country, its party soul. It’s psychedelic, schizophrenic and occasionally narcoleptic.

It’s the soundtrack to the end of the world as selected by Hugh Hefner with support from Andy Warhol.

It’s art. It’s rubbish. It’s pop music.” At The Fox this Sunday 5 to 7

Sunday the 25th of July, The Broadside Push will be playing a free show at the Fox Hotel, 351 Wellington st, Collingwood. From slow dirgy ballads to guitar driven antipodean rock, their sound is one of the most inimatable to come out of Melbourne in recent memory. Featuring fiddle, mandolin, banjo, gut bucket guitars, and a rythm section so tight it’ll make you uncomfortable, The Broadside Push are fast becoming one of Melbourne’t most exciting live acts. Dont miss them this this Anzac weekend, and make sure to pick up one of the few remaining copies of their debut 7″ vinyl ‘Purple Rouge”.

Christopher Keogh and Friends – Sunday 1st Aug  5pm Free

Christopher Keogh blends beautiful, introspective melancholic melodrama with infectious melodies, a big voice, big harmonies and even bigger pop choruses.

Armed with some cracking new songs and some old faves, Christopher Keogh is returning to the Fox for the first time this decade, and he’s bringing some friends along for the ride, including regular guitar playing companion, singer, dancer and troubadour – the very charming Brendan Keogh. Matty S will also be making an appearance with the lads on percussion.

Watch in awe as this true showman thrashes those strings, belts out tunes and sucks you into his gorgeously profanity-laden world without you even noticing.

Sunday 8TH AUGUST, 5pm FALLOE
